The Right Way to Wear Concealed Carry Belly Bands

Concealed carry belly bands are an excellent option for individuals looking for a safe and secure way to keep their firearms on them. But while belly bands offer great concealment, access to the gun often depends on your choice of covering. Remember, the ability to draw quickly is a tremendous advantage when your life is at stake. That is why it is essential to consider how you wear your belly band and the style and arrangement of your shirt, pants, shorts, or skirt. 

The first thing to consider is the level of tightness of the band itself. Most people work out the perfect band tension over time, but that does require trial and error. The critical thing to remember is that you do not want to wear the band so loosely that it allows the gun grip to flop outward or rotate around your torso. Once you find the right level of tightness, you can begin to try on different clothing to ensure you can quickly and easily access your firearm if and when needed. 

Drawing from a concealed carry belly band isn’t for everyone. The key is all in your overall setup. Just remember that your concealed carry holster isn’t of much use if you aren’t able to keep your firearm secure, safe, and easy to draw.
